✦ Bachelor parties in Calgary
Not golf.
Not another bar crawl.
The problem with most bachelor parties is that they're just drinking with extra steps. This gives the day a shape: a couple of hours making something loud and physical, a proper bar, and a story that isn't just how much everyone drank.

Why it lands
It gives the day a middle.
Most stags are a start and an end with a long shapeless bit between them. This is the bit, something to do at 3pm that isn't a fourth pint or a sports bar with the sound off.
01
Tufting is genuinely physical
A tufting gun is a motorised tool that punches yarn through stretched cloth. It's loud, it takes some muscle, and it is far more satisfying than it sounds on paper. Most sceptics are converted about four minutes in.
02
It works before the drinking
Run the session in the afternoon and the night out lands better for it. Everyone's eaten, everyone's talked, and the evening starts from a much better place than three hours of pre-drinks.
03
There's a competitive version
Nothing is scored and nobody loses, but if your group needs a contest, they'll invent one within ten minutes, and comparing the results at the end is half the fun.
04
The groom gets something real
Plenty of groups make something for him rather than for themselves. It's a better gift than a novelty t-shirt and it costs the same as a round.
05
Nobody's left out
Whoever's driving, whoever isn't drinking, whoever hates clubs, they get the same afternoon as everyone else. That's harder to arrange than it sounds.
06
One person organises it in one message
Send us a date and a number. The space, the materials, the food and the bar are ours. No group chat vote on which restaurant takes a booking for fourteen.
What's included
The Send-off package.
Everything below is in the per-guest price. Drinks come from our bar, beer and wine up to premium spirits, however you want to run it.

The numbers
From $129 per guest.
The Bachelor / Bachelorette Send-off covers the experience, shareable plates, a two-hour Premium bar and the studio. Drop the bar tier or the catering and it comes down, a plain private session is considerably less.
The cheaper version is fine too
If the full package isn't what you want, book a straight private session and add a lighter bar. Crafts are charged at our group rate, 25% off the regular price, and nobody will push you towards the package.
No minimum spend, no room-rental fee, either way.

Tufted Threads is the usual pick for a stag, it's the loudest, the most physical, and a rug is a genuinely absurd thing to come home with.

Bachelor party questions
How much is a bachelor party in Calgary?
The Send-off package starts at $129 per guest with catering and a Premium bar. A straight private session without either is considerably less, crafts are charged at our group rate, 25% off the regular price. Tell us the numbers and we'll quote both so you can compare.
How many people can come?
Private events are for 10 to 40 guests on a full studio buyout. For fewer than 10, book a regular session instead.
What are the drinks options?
Everything comes from our bar, packages run from beer and wine up to premium spirits, hosted for a set time, billed on consumption, or on drink tickets if you'd rather cap it. It keeps the service quick and the licensing straightforward, so it's how we'd always suggest doing it. If there's one particular bottle that matters to the occasion and it isn't something we pour, ask us, we can sometimes allow it on a corkage basis ($40 a bottle for wine, other types quoted individually). That's an exception we make for the special case, not a way to stock the party.
Will the group actually enjoy this?
The honest answer is that the sceptical ones tend to enjoy it most, because the expectation is low and a tufting gun is more fun than anyone expects. If your group would rather be at a driving range, they'd rather be at a driving range, but this is the one people are still talking about at the wedding.
Can we do this and still go out after?
That's how most groups run it. An afternoon session finishing around five leaves the whole evening free, and everyone has eaten, which materially improves the night.
What if some of us aren't drinking?
Completely fine. The activity is the point and the bar is optional; nobody who isn't drinking ends up standing around while everyone else does something.
Can we make something for the groom?
Yes, and it's a popular way to run it, the group makes a piece for him rather than each making their own. Mention it in the enquiry and we'll set the session up for it.
How far in advance should we book?
Three to six weeks, and weekends go fastest. If your date is sooner, ask anyway and we'll check availability right away.
Is there a deposit?
A 25% deposit secures your date and is applied to your total. The rest, including the remaining gratuity, is settled at the studio on the day of your event. Nothing is payable just to enquire.
Where are you, and is there parking?
2713 14 St SW, Calgary. Ground floor, with street parking and a nearby lot.
